Assisted Living

More than 7.6 million Americans receive in home care, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. The number is much greater when you consider that it does not include informal care which is care given by a friend or family member. Home care is generally defined as non-medical support services delivered at the home of the senior. The aim of home care is to allow seniors to remain at home longer rather than enter an assisted living community, nursing home or other type of senior care. Home care may be appropriate if a senior prefers to stay at home but needs minor assistance with activities of daily living.
Activities of in home care include bathing, dressing, and meal preparation but may also extend to assistance with transportation, paying bills, making appointments, and simply being there to provide companionship and emotional support. Home care services are generally available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and can be paid for directly by the client or through a variety of public and private funding sources such as Medicare and/or Medicaid.
Stay at Home Personal Care brings Assisted Living services into the comfort of your own home or environment in Virginia. Our goal is to enable our clients to stay in settings that are most comfortable for them, therefore enhancing their well being. Our hourly services are available from 4 to 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. We also have options for daily Bed & Bath visits.
While our Live In program does not provide you with around the clock assistance, it does offer the availability of assistance at a moment's notice, 24 hours a day.
Our Assisted Living Home Care Services
Assisted Living services provided in your home can help delay or even eliminate the need of ever having to move to a nursing home. Supplemental private duty services provided in a Nursing or Assisted Living Facility can help improve the quality of care you experience while in those environments.
These services include:
Our In-home Staff of Personal Care aides are interviewed and screened for past experience, have a minimum of two references checked, are bonded, insured and selected by the Agency Manager for compatibility with our clients and dedicated to helping our clients remain in their homes, or improve the care they receive in their current settings.
Management
Our Staff is led by an Agency Manager and RN Supervisor who are committed to ensuring our clients receive quality services. There is an agency representative on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week to respond to emergencies.
Cost & Payment Options
The cost of home care is often less than the cost of placement in a nursing home or other health care facility.
